Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are robust birds with the stunning color of blue lacing over their dark red coloring. Excellent layers of brown eggs. Hens have an amiable personality and are delightful birds to have in your flock.  A dual-purpose bird developed in the 1870s in North America named after the Indigenous Wyandotte people. Winter hardy with their dense feathering that keeps them warm and with their short rose combs they are pretty resistant to frostbite. Although popular as show birds they are not yet APA approved. They will hatch blue, splash, and an occasional black red laced, our breeding pen will hatch mostly blue, with a smaller percentage of splash.
